Meep Meep!

Yah, this is from last week...bare with me :)

So today was nothing short of eventful! I was running a little late to work today and I decided to stop and get bagels….because if you bring food, EVERYTHING is forgivable! Before I begin this story, let me give you a little background information. I am a Special Education Counselor for a school district and I see 1st-8th graders along with JDC and Boot Camp kids, SO I office at the Special Ed offices. Well, our office is at an old school and MY office is in the band hall so we have to walk outside under a “covered” area to get to our offices.

Back to the bagels. I was setting up the bagel fixins and I heard a tapping on the door (people often forget their keys) so I went to open the door when our secretary said “It’s a road runner!” And sure enough I looked out the glass and a crazy little road runner had a big rock in his mouth and he was just a tappin’ away! I got so excited I jumped up and down and he ran off down the way! I ran out the door to watch him run around all confused like…it was great! So, today, a road runner knocked on my door…and I answered it!

Next! So apparently we are having a monsoon today! When it rains our lovely walk way turns into a little “river” if you will. So I have had much excitement today….my shoes and jeans are soaked so I changed into some flip flops and I proudly squeaked around my office ALL day long!

Oh, I forgot to mention that we have state testing ALLLLLL week long so I am trapped in the office. Due to this we have all gotten a bit stir crazy…so we have to entertain ourselves….or more so I have to entertain us J So we have this HUGE field around us where another much larger river has formed…and yes, I AM a child and I made a sail boat! It is pretty great, I am not going to lie! I even put a little snowman in it left over from Christmas and he floated around in our little river!

  1. You are too funny. How cool that a real Road Runner actually tapped on your door. I would have liked to have seen some photos of the "boat." Great post!
