Change of Plans
So, today was much different than I planned! Plans to the herb festival were cancelled due to rain ALL day long! So of course we decided going to the Ranger's game would be a much better alternate :) The news said the rain should be gone by then....but it was a tad bit wrong! The game was delayed an hour and a half! So, we sat in a super cool Texas Rangers Pancho in my new Texas Ranger's hat in the rain for an hour! But surprisingly it was fun! :) AND THEY WON!!!! I have never been to a game where they win! I LOVE Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler! Kinsler pulls up his socks to his knees over his pants like in the olden days and I LOVE it!!

HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So yesterday I had plans to go out with Jason and some of his friends from work. There was a going away party for one of his good friends and I am friends with his wife, so...I went :) But, I decided I would go get my nails done because hey, I was meeting most of these people for the first time and you know they would be staring at my nails! I mean who wouldn't! :)
So, I decided to go the beauty college where you can get your nails done for 5 BUCKS! That is awesome! You can do french tip or anything for just 5 bucks and any idiot can slap some paint on your nails! I mean they have been in school for 2 months before they can touch anyone...surely the can decently paint and file your nails...right???!!!
Well, I am sure you saw it coming, but NO NO!!!! Not just ANY idiot can paint your nails! It takes a special kind of idiot apparently! Seriously, my nails looked like mountain ranges when I left! I felt so bad for her! I went straight home and took off the nail polish and re-filed my nails! My nails looked better going in than when I left! But on the up side I had a great conversation with her :) Sigh
Well, tonight I got my HD installed and my huge 50" TV is now even more beautiful!

50"
Okay, so after some research I have discovered that it would cost a lot to repair my television and apparently would be very dangerous! Sooooooooo, I bought a new TV!!!!! I didn't want to spend the money, but I am so incredibly excited about it! I got a 50" Panasonic Plasma! It isn't going to be delivered till Sunday and I can hardly wait! I know it sounds huge...and that is because it is! I got a REALLY good deal on it!
I went into Best Buy and it just so happened that the first guy I talked to was the general manager! I negotiated my deal at Best Buy, got like $450 off the TV, 50% off a Blue Ray player and a discount on all the needed plugs! It was the funnest experience I have ever had and I totally rocked it making deals!

The TV Saga Continues
So my roommates boyfried told her it is real easy to replace a blown out fuse in a TV......................
Let me tell you, it is not! I unscrewed a bagillion screws to take off the back of my TV, I then thoroughly examined everything...trying to find a fuse! (Oh, I dropped by a TV repair shop and they gave me a fuse for free, score!) Well, 45 minutes, 4 more screws, and a tiny key flash light later....I found the fuse! Oh, don't get too excited, it was well fortified behind what looked like a electrical motherboard castle! I tried every angle to reach this little glass tube and somehow while I was finagling myself around the TV I cut my foot! OUCH!!! So, I limped out of the room defeated.

The difference between Power Strips and Surge Protectors
So, maybe I am having a blonde moment, maybe I am not as technologically smart as I would like to think...but I did NOT know there is a difference between power strips and surge protectors. I bet you are wondering "how did you come to this discovery??"
Well, I was watching TV during a thunderstorm Saturday night. And yes, there is no build to this story, my TV blew out. My TV I bough THREE...count them 1, 2, 3 years ago is now dead. And in case you haven't been TV shopping in a while....you have to drop about a grand to get something decent.
SOoooooo, Tivo will have to wait...Private Practice will have to wait....BIGGEST LOSER and American Idol will have to wait...till I can find a stinkin' TV.

Meep Meep!
Yah, this is from last week...bare with me :)
So today was nothing short of eventful! I was running a little late to work today and I decided to stop and get bagels….because if you bring food, EVERYTHING is forgivable! Before I begin this story, let me give you a little background information. I am a Special Education Counselor for a school district and I see 1st-8th graders along with JDC and Boot Camp kids, SO I office at the Special Ed offices. Well, our office is at an old school and MY office is in the band hall so we have to walk outside under a “covered” area to get to our offices.
Back to the bagels. I was setting up the bagel fixins and I heard a tapping on the door (people often forget their keys) so I went to open the door when our secretary said “It’s a road runner!” And sure enough I looked out the glass and a crazy little road runner had a big rock in his mouth and he was just a tappin’ away! I got so excited I jumped up and down and he ran off down the way! I ran out the door to watch him run around all confused like…it was great! So, today, a road runner knocked on my door…and I answered it!
Next! So apparently we are having a monsoon today! When it rains our lovely walk way turns into a little “river” if you will. So I have had much excitement today….my shoes and jeans are soaked so I changed into some flip flops and I proudly squeaked around my office ALL day long!
Oh, I forgot to mention that we have state testing ALLLLLL week long so I am trapped in the office. Due to this we have all gotten a bit stir crazy…so we have to entertain ourselves….or more so I have to entertain us J So we have this HUGE field around us where another much larger river has formed…and yes, I AM a child and I made a sail boat! It is pretty great, I am not going to lie! I even put a little snowman in it left over from Christmas and he floated around in our little river!
